McCullough Robertson Lawyers (McR) has appointed leading construction lawyer Mark Riddington as a partner, based in the firm’s growing Sydney office.
Mr Riddington joins the McR Construction and Infrastructure team after seven years as a partner at HWL Ebsworth.
He has worked previously at Herbert Geer, and was also seconded to John Holland and Sydney Airport Corporation before joining HWL Ebsworth.
Mr Riddington’s appointment is part of McR’s strategy to grow its Sydney office as it moves towards its centenary in 2026.
McR Joint Managing Partner Damien Clarke said the appointment built on the recent additions of Natalie Kurdian, Kate Peterson, Stephen Iu, Nathan Roberts and Chris Barr to the Sydney partnership ranks.
“Mark is recognised for his skills in navigating his clients’ most critical and complex issues, advancing their commercial goals and resolving challenges they encounter, and I know our clients will benefit from his approach,” Mr Clarke said.
McR Chair of Partners Kristan Conlon said she was delighted to welcome Mr Riddington to the firm.

In a statement, McCullough Robertson said Mr Riddington’s front-end Construction practice added further depth to McR’s substantial national Construction and Infrastructure team.
His experience included providing tailored guidance on the delivery of diverse projects such as water treatment plants, shopping centre developments, infrastructure, airport-specific ventures as well as demolition and remediation projects.
Mr Riddington would also assist clients with contract administration issues, commercial wrap-ups and construction disputes.
