A new boutique hotel is set to open in the Gold Coast hinterland in time for the Christmas holidays.
Co-owner Nina Aberdeen said the 23-room The Tamborine, in the Scenic Rim’s Tamborine Mountain, was a stylistic reimagining of a 1980s Hacienda-style motel.
Ms Aberdeen said all rooms boasted private balconies or terraces and king beds, with the hotel featuring a heated mineral pool and spa.
“Whether it be immersing oneself in nature, enjoying a tipple at one of the many and emerging micro-breweries and distilleries, or exploring the artisan wares the mountain is famous for, The Tamborine will be the perfect escape for our guests. We want guests leaving feeling enriched and connected, and eager to return,” she said.
Destination Scenic Rim Executive Officer Christelle Moller said The Tamborine would compliment the established boutique getaway cluster on Tamborine Mountain.
Ms Moller said Tamborine Mountain attracted over 5000 visitors per week, with the booming wedding industry injecting over $20 million into the local economy every year.
“As this sector, and the tourism industry continues to grow, demand for accommodation has continued to grow.”
The hotel will open early December, with bookings being taken now. More information can be found on The Tamborine’s website.
