McCullough Robertson Lawyers has boosted its leadership ranks with the appointment of two new Sydney-based partners.
Natalie Kurdian has joined the firm’s Corporate team and Kate Peterson becomes part of the Employment Relations and Safety team.
Kate was previously a Director of employment law and workplace investigation specialist firm Workdynamic Australia.
She has a strong government and investigations background, with particular expertise in sensitive, complex and high-profile investigations.
Kate is also highly experienced in designing and leading workplace consultation and “culture development projects” centred on managing workplace and safety risk.
Natalie has joined McCullough Robertson from PwC in Sydney where she spent nine years as a partner.
Natalie brings a strong track record in cross-border and domestic M&A, funds management and financial services law. Her funds management work has been across multiple sectors, with a particularly heavy focus on the real estate and infrastructure sectors.
Natalie worked in the corporate and funds team at King & Wood Mallesons in Sydney prior to joining PwC.
McCullough Robertson Chair of Partners Kristan Conlon said the appointments would further boost the bench strength in the McCullough Robertson Sydney office and reinforced the firm’s commitment to promoting women in leadership.
“Since 1926 we have prided ourselves on being approachable experts who relate to and support our clients and our people – always,” she said. “I know Kate and Natalie will be a great cultural fit and excellent role models, and I am looking forward to collaborating with them both.”
The firm’s Joint Managing Partner Guy Humble said the appointment of Kate and Natalie followed the recent additions of Stephen Iu, Nathan Roberts and Chris Barr to the Sydney office.
“The ongoing growth of our Sydney office is integral to the future of McCullough Robertson as we adapt to and support our clients in a world of constant change,” Mr Humble said.
