A new commercial hub in the Brisbane suburb of Bridgeman Downs will restore a native wildlife corridor in the area.

Construction on Beckett Place is expected to start within a few months and will include a new childcare centre, service station and multiple food and drink outlets in its Beckett Rd location.

The Adpen project, which has eight residential dwellings, will also restore a disconnected fauna corridor through a privately funded $1 million koala crossing over Beckett Rd.

Developers will retain and rehabilitate around one hectare of existing native vegetation, while adding more than 1500 new trees to the site.

Developer Adam Pennisi said he had been working closely with ecological experts for the past three years to deliver the project.
