High-profile Australian artists will perform for 100 community heroes in a spectacular music performance on a floating pontoon on the Great Barrier Reef later this month.

The Savannah Sounds on the Reef will be an exclusive and intimate concert, featuring Brisbane indie-band Sheppard, country music star Lee Kernaghan, Golden Guitar Awards’ New Talent of the Year Max Jackson and acclaimed indigenous artists Kairos Kin.

The search is now on for community heroes across Australia, including those from Far North Queensland who pitched in in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Jasper, to attend the concert on Reef Magic’s floating pontoon.

Community heroes may be volunteered who helped with cyclone and flood clean up, long-standing, selfless community members who keep the local environment pristine or people who care for others. Nominations close April 19.

While there are limited number of spots available at the one-off reef performance, fans can see a stellar lineup of artists – including newly-announced festival headliner and prominent US country music singer and songwriter Kip Moore – at Savannah in the Round in October.
