Bluey’s World is yet to open its doors, but its season has already been extended for an extra five months.
Tickets go on sale on Monday, October 21, for a November opening of the theme park based on the hit children’s TV show.
Built in the inner-Brisbane suburb of Hamilton, the installation was set for an initial season ending in April, next year, but this has now been extended to September.
BBC Studios ANZ Director Brands and Licensing Kate O’Connor said the Bluey’s World guided experience would begin as visitors entered the familiar front door of Bluey’s home.
“Bluey’s World is the place to come for a fun-filled immersive adventure through the Heeler’s home and beyond,” Ms O’Connor said.
She said every detail was meticulously brought to life in large scale with Bluey’s neighbourhood to play in at the end of the experience.
Ms O’Connor said Bluey’s World had been crafted with the creative input of Joe Brumm, the creator of Bluey, ensuring the experience stayed true to the show’s heart and spirit.
Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Patrica O’Callaghan said Bluey was a global superstar and had caught the attention of the world, with fans fascinated to come and explore Bluey’s hometown.
“There is no doubt visitors to Bluey’s World will be wowed by this incredible, interactive experience that is just like walking onto the set of Bluey, for real life,” Ms O’Callaghan said.
Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said Bluey showcased the best of Brisbane.
“Residents and visitors alike will soon be able to immerse themselves in the Heeler family’s world, with the interactive experience extended until September 2025.
“We know this attraction will bring fans from across the world to Brisbane, creating more to see and do in our city, boosting our economy and supporting local jobs.”
Bluey’s World opens on November 7, with an official ‘blue carpet’ opening taking place on November 12.
