The longest running show in Las Vegas is heading to the Gold Coast.
Legends in Concert, a celebrity tribute show, opened on the Vegas strip in 1983, for an initial six-week engagement, and has since won a swag of awards and played across the globe.
Legends in Concert Special Events General Manager Mark Kogan said after six seasons in Melbourne, the world-renowned show would makes its Queensland debut at Twin Towns, on the Gold Coast in January.
Mr Kogan said four shows would be staged over Saturday, January 4 and Sunday, January 5.
He said the show paid tribute to Freddie Mercury, Cher, Tina Turner, Elvis Presley, Cyndi Lauper and Stevie Wonder.
“Each legendary performer not only looks like the star they portray but use their own natural voices to pay homage to their iconic music counterpart.
“We’re so thrilled to be headed to Twin Towns, with six of the ’best of the best’ tribute artists in the world.”
Mr Kogan said since Legends in Concert made its Las Vegas debut more than 40 years ago, it had earned entertainment industry awards for Show of the Year, Entertainers of the Year, Grand Slam and the Show of Shows awarded by the International Press Association.
