Experienced tourism executive Luke Edwards will step up and take full control of Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT).
Currently the General Manager of Destination Management, Mr Edwards has been announced as the regional body’s new CEO.
MBRIT Chair Ngaire Stirling said the appointment would ensure stability and strong leadership for the organisation.
“Luke brings over two decades of experience in tourism, business development, and organisational leadership,” Ms Stirling said.
“Since joining MBRIT in February 2024 as General Manager Destination Management, his leadership of Visit Moreton Bay has delivered impressive outcomes for our region, showcasing his ability to drive strategic growth, foster partnerships, and champion innovation in destination marketing.”
She said MBRIT’s solid foundation and strategic direction already laid would continue to be built upon, providing stability and confidence for partners and stakeholders.
