Former Queensland Transport and Local Government Minister Stirling Hinchliffe has been appointed as Australian Consul General in Auckland, New Zealand.
Mr Hinchliffe has held roles in the public and private sectors, most recently as Director of Strategy Development at Northern Australia Accommodation Solutions.
In making the announcement, Federal Minister for Trade Senator Don Farrell thanked
outgoing Consul-General and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner Brad Williams for his term in the role.
