Fresneda appointed chair of construction skills board

Deputy CEO of Master Builders Queensland Sue-Ann Fresneda has been appointed as the new chair of Construction Skills Queensland.

The renewed eight-person board includes experts in commercial construction, law and employee advocacy.

Ms Fresneda will be joined by two new board directors, Kate Raymond and Adrian Gabrielli.

The independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supports employers, workers, apprentices and trainees in the building and construction industry.

The new Construction Skills Queensland Board includes the following directors:

Ms Sue-Ann Fresneda (Chair), Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Master Builders Queensland (new director)

Ms Kate Raymond, Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary of Master Electricians Australia (new director)

Mr Adrian Gabrielli, Managing Director, Gabrielli Group (new director)

Ms Chantal Llora, Deputy Director-General (Engagement), Department of Trade, Employment and Training (new director)

Ms Penny Cornah, Chief Executive Officer, Master Plumbers Association of Queensland (continuing director)

Mr Damian Long, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary for the Civil Contractors Federation (continuing director)

Mr Rohan Webb, State Secretary of the Queensland and Northern Territory Branch, Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (continuing director)

Ms Marina Chambers, Queensland Branch President and National President, Australian Workers’ Union (continuing director)
