Brisbane City Council has announced a new bus stop for the Maroon Glider (Route 61) inner city bus route.
The new stop is in the suburb of Paddington at Stop 8 Old Paddo Post Office on Latrobe Terrace.
It comes with extended operating hours and 24-hour services on Friday and Saturday nights as part of the NightLink network.
The Council says the Maroon Glider is a favourite for Brisbane’s “food and footy” crowd because it links attractions like Suncorp Stadium, Caxton Street, the CBD, The Gabba and Coorparoo Square.
More than 1.1 million trips have been taken on the bus since July 2025.
Services run every 10 minutes in peak times and depart frequently throughout the day.
As part of the change, inbound routes 375 and 377 will no longer service Stop 8 Old Paddo Post Office from April 20, 2026 to reduce potential congestion.
Outbound routes 375 and 377 will continue to service Stop 8, along with Route N385 (NightLink) and district service 775 in both directions.
The nearest alternative inbound stop for Routes 375 and 377 is a three-minute walk away.
