The Queensland Government has activated a process to plan upgrades to the Mount Mee Road north of Brisbane.
The road, also known as the Brisbane‑Woodford Road, runs between Dayboro and D’Aguilar.
Transport and Main Roads Brent Mickelberg said the planning project would assess road conditions and the surrounding road environment along the 40‑kilometre corridor.
This would take into account current and future traffic volumes, speed limits and known constraints across “what is a challenging stretch of road”.
“The outcomes of the planning study will support future investment decisions to improve safety and reliability on Mount Mee Road, which includes narrow sections, changing speed zones, crests and tight bends,” Mr Mickelberg said.
“Brisbane‑Woodford Road is a critical connection for the Moreton Bay hinterland, linking communities, supporting local jobs and helping people get where they need to go.”
Planning is expected to be completed in late 2026.
