Lisa Atholwood’s appointment as the Head of Campus secondary at Emmaus College Jimboomba was more than just a career move.

Ms Atholwood said it transformed into a profound commitment to nurturing the holistic development of her students within the ethos of Catholic education.

As she embarked on her journey into this new role during Catholic Education Week (July 21 to 27), she said she carried with her a dedication to making a meaningful impact on the lives of her students, leading with compassion, honesty, and integrity.
“I recognise that the wellbeing of individuals within the school community is vital to fostering an environment where genuine learning flourishes, nurturing not only academic success but also the holistic development of each of my students,” she said.

“I am enjoying getting to know the new students, staff, and families and creating meaningful connections with them.

“Catholic school leadership is a privilege, and I feel blessed to join and serve the Emmaus College community.”

As a Jimboomba local, Ms Atholwood sees her new position as a way to give back to the community she calls home.
“Jimboomba is a lovely place to raise a family, and I look forward to giving back to such a vibrant and community-focused school,” she said.

“I enjoy the challenges and rewards of leading and influencing a school community to work harmoniously in pursuit of a common mission.”
