The wild west comes to Morayfield in a bootscootin bash for all ages. Join easy line dancing lessons with Footloose Fun from 6.30pm on Friday September 19. Keep your kids active and strong with pilates reformer classes for ages 12-16. Designed to build core strength, improve posture, and stay moving in a fun and supportive environment. If you feel like dancing the Common People is holding free drop-in workshops for all ages and abilities from September 20 – October 6 at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm at the Fairfax Gallery, Level 3, City Hall. A nest box monitoring workshop will be held at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden on October 2 from 3-5pm for all ages. Learn how nest boxes provide homes for animals such as gliders and owls. Bookings are essential.
The Daisy Hil Koala Centre has a dedicated koala education facility for care and rehabilitation. There are walking tracks and an immersive outdoor koala enclosure where you can see how many koalas you can spot. Wildlife officers give presentations at 11am and 2pm daily, with feeding at 11.30am. Open from 10am-4pm daily, admission is free.
