Qantas has slashed the price of its international airfares, as new data reveals Aussies are travelling overseas more – logging an increase of nearly nine percent last year.
Fares start from $299, amid results released from the Australian Bureau of Statistics which shows Australian residents took more than 12.5 million trips overseas in the 12 months to November 2025, marking an increase of nearly nine percent year-on-year.
The sale will run until February 9, and covers more than 60 routes with reduced fares to more than 30 international destinations across Europe, North and South America, Asia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Pacific.
Economy one-way fares start from $299 from Sydney to Auckland and Wellington for travel on select dates between February 23 and December 31, 2026.
The newest route to join the Qantas international network from June 16 this year is also included in the sale, with discounted seats from the Gold Coast to Auckland available from $309 one way in Economy.
Other Economy return fares start from and include:
- $769 from Sydney and Melbourne to Singapore, with travel dates available in February and March, prime time for experiencing Chinese New Year.
- $1,549 from Perth to Paris, with travel dates available throughout July, August and September to enjoy European summer.
- $999 from Brisbane to Los Angeles, with travel dates available for the second weekend of April’s famous Coachella festival.
- $1,399 from Sydney and Melbourne to New York, with travel dates available during the October school holidays to enjoy the Big Apple in autumn.
