Australia’s longest running celebration of hot rods and rockabilly kicks off from August 2 in the Redlands, east of Brisbane.
GreazeFest will mark its 24th anniversary when it takes over the Redlands Showgrounds for three days next month.
Festival organisers said the event was the nation’s “most iconic and longest running Rockabilly and Kustom Kulture festival”.
In a statement, they said the event would feature hot rods and classic cars as well as an Australian and international music program with headliners C.W. Stoneking & His Primitive Horn Orchestra plus Marti Brom, from the United States.
A Hot Rod Show, featuring cars from more than 500 enthusiasts from across Australia, will be the main drawcard, with license plate art the new theme for the Art Show.
“Almost 60 Australian artists have been invited to transform a motor vehicle license plate into a stunning work of art, in support of long-time GreazeFest charity partner the RSPCA,” the statement said.
More information and ticket details are on the GreazeFest website.
