Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends is an interactive Queensland Museum exhibition which brings you face-to-face with the 130-million-year journey of this powerful and fascinating animal.
From ancient “supercrocs” that once roamed with dinosaurs, to today’s various crocodile species, the exhibit explores the science of these creatures, their evolution and their influence on early First Nations’ stories and Hollywood.
Encounter life-sized prehistoric giants and dramatic fossil displays, challenges that test your knowledge of life in croc country, and real-world tools used by crocodile researchers and conservationists.
The exhibition opens on Friday, October 24 until October 5, 2026. There will also be a special series of curated programs and events on Saturday, October 25. These include a free crocodile dance performance, free film screenings, and a crocodile dance workshop.
