It is less than two weeks until the jolly man in the big red suit comes to your house, so get your Christmas cheer on with these festive happenings around town.
Go exploring to find the festive tiny doors in the city. Created by Brisbane artist Mace Robertson, the doors are hidden in: Roma St Parkland, Post Office Square, King George Square, Burnett Lane, Queen Street Mall, Uptown, QueensPlaza, Wintergarden, Queen’s Wharf, Riverside, City Botanic Gardens, and Southbank.
Sing along to carols from Opera Queensland, Northside Concert Orchestra and Queensland Show Choir at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday December 14 from 5pm-8pm.
Laugh your heart out while watching A Very Naughty Christmas comedy musical at La Boite until December 18. It includes a live band playing pop music and carols. Tickets are available on the La Boite website.
If you love live music, QPAC will combine Christmas romcom The Holiday with a live orchestra on December 14 at 3pm and 7.30pm. The film stars Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black. For tickets click here.

For more outdoor fun try some festive Putt Putt at Victoria Park at Herston which has been decked out with twinkling lights, baubles and holly-jolly obstacles from 6am-10pm until January 2, 2025.
Watch the light displays at King George Square, Brisbane City Hall from 7.30pm until December 24 or visit the Enchanted Garden at Roma St Parkland from 6.30-9.15pm, until December 21.
The Star, at 33 William St Brisbane, has its Christmas light show at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm from December 11 to 15.

If you’re looking for a beautiful shopping environment to buy gifts, Brisbane Arcade is celebrating its 100th year with A Centenary Christmas wonderland of lights and decorations on display until December 28.
The Christmas markets are also still being held at Gasworks, on Saturday December 14; King George Square, Brisbane CBD on December 20; and at South Bank for the Christmas edition from Friday December 13 to Sunday, December 22 from 10am – 9pm, at Stanley St Plaza.
