Museums

iPhone photography for the iPhone generation will be the subject of this masterclass for ages 13-17. Led by acclaimed artist Carl Warner, this 2.5 hour workshop will teach you how to capture and edit stunning photos using your iPhone, focusing on the built environment and creative composition. At the Museum of Brisbane on Saturday September 21 from 2pm-4.30pm. Bookings essential. $30.

Creative Kids Brisbane run art workshops for all ages at their studio at Yeerongpilly Green Riverside Village, 21 Queens Way from Monday to Friday 9am – 11.30am. $15 for a single visit. Sessions are open-ended and accessible any time during opening hours. The art studio allows children to use materials on offer to make a set art piece, or something else completely. Parents and guardians must be in attendance at all times, and children under five will need some assistance from their parents.

Celebrate the remarkable achievements of Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes who competed in the 2024 Paris Games with a welcome home event at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt on Saturday September 14, from 10am-noon. The event will feature live entertainment, food and activities for all ages.

Crack the clues to discover natural treasures hidden in the Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha to solve a botanical treasure hunt.
