A private LEGO collection comprising 2000 sets and more than one million pieces has been put up for auction.
The collection, worth up to a quarter of a million dollars, includes retired sets, and features popular themes like Star Wars, Batman, Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney and Racers
It is headlined by the original Star Wars UCS Star Destroyer, which alone is expected to fetch tens of thousands of dollars.
Bidding has opened and the collection will be sold across seven unreserved online auctions, closing daily from April 20, 2026.
Lloyds Auctions said the collection was one of the largest ever sold and included extremely rare sets, acquired by the owner over several decades.
Lloyds Auctions Chief Operations Officer Lee Hames said it was the largest single LEGO collection the company had ever brought to auction.
“The sheer scale is remarkable, but what really sets it apart is the concentration of sealed, retired and highly sought after sets,” he said.
“You simply don’t see collections of this calibre come to market.”
Besides the Star Wars, Batman and Marvel sets, the collection includes the Simpsons House, Kwik E Mart and Queen Anne’s Revenge pirate ship.
“With LEGO now firmly established as a serious collectable category, demand for quality retired sets has never been stronger,” Mr Hames said. “This collection delivers exactly what the global LEGO market is chasing.”
Lloyds says, with all lots offered unreserved, bidding has already attracted strong interest from collectors across Australia and internationally.
Bidding is live now, with more auctions being published daily due to the size of the collection.
