Hundred of trucks will rumble through Brisbane this weekend in a fund-raising convoy.

Around 1000 trucks will travel from Larapinta to Redcliffe as part of the Brisbane Convoy for Kids and Truck Show event on Saturday (November 2).

Transurban said their incident response team would assist the convoy as it made its way along the Logan and Gateway motorways enroute to Redcliffe.

It a statement, Transurban said the 65 km trip would end at the Redcliffe Showgrounds for a truck show and a host of family-friendly activities.

“The road freight industry is critical to keeping goods moving (and) Transurban’s sponsorship of this event supports local trucking communities while also supporting fund-raising efforts for Hummingbird House Brisbane, Queensland’s first and only children’s hospice.”

The statement said Transurban’s Logan West Upgrade team would be onsite at the Redcliffe Showgrounds from 9am to noon to answer questions about the proposed project.
