Construction has begun on the $1.2 billion Hamilton Grove precinct, with two-bedroom apartments in the first new riverfront tower starting from $1.739 million.
The development at 19 Hercules St, Hamilton Northshore has been inspired by Los Angeles precinct The Grove.
Hamilton Grove will include three residential towers with 292 apartments, a 196 room 5-star hotel, 3000m² of prime retail space, and a 7,639 m² public precinct.
The development forms part of the total Northshore development area that is part of Economic Development Queensland’s 304ha site.
Developer Wentworth Equities Executive Chairman Sameh Ibrahim said it had taken 14 years for the development to come to fruition.
“To turn the dirt is a momentous milestone, following years of meticulous planning for how we could bring a precinct of such calibre to life in Brisbane,” Mr Ibrahim said.
Contractor Mainland Civil is now on site, adding Hamilton Grove to their extensive portfolio alongside iconic Brisbane developments including Queens Wharf, 300 George Street, Infinity Tower and 1 William Street.
“The significance of this development is historic, which means that our vision for design and delivery has had to be infallible,” Mr Ibrahim said.
“It has been tremendous to bring together teams from Wentworth Equities, Property Development Systems, Urbis, Fuse Architects, Coposit, Bornhorst + Ward, Bennett & Bennett to lend their expertise to this legacy project.
“It’s very easy to say that a development will set a new standard but in the case of Hamilton Grove we truly will do just that.”
Sales for Tower Two are expected to be released in the coming months.
