Bluey bucks released for collectors

A special Bluey collectable coin set has been released the Australian Post, with one in 10 featuring a special-coloured coin.

Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail Josh Bannister said the new coin collection, available from today,  captured the playful charm of Bluey, a Brisbane-based children’s animation series which has captivated the world with its take on Australian culture.

Mr Bannister said in a partnership with the Royal Australian Mint and BBC Studios, Australia Post had released 10 $1 collectable Bluey coins, featuring bespoke fun and playful illustrations of the show’s characters.

He said Bluey Dollarbuck $1 coins could be purchased individually, with one in every 10-coin set featuring a special-coloured coin.

“Other coins in the Bluey range are available as part of a 10-coin tube and folder set and Bluey and Bingo will even be popping up in till change when making a cash transaction at participating Australia Post Offices.”

Mr Bannister said Bluey till coins would be available until Sunday, September 29, or while stocks last.

“Whether you’re enchanted by Bluey’s adventures or someone who has enjoyed the show from its early days, these coins are a unique way for fans to connect with the characters they love and celebrate a show that has touched the hearts of families across Australia and beyond.”

He said Bluey fans could head into participating Post Offices or online from today to buy individual coins for $10 each or the full coin and folder set for $29.
