Sherlock Holmes – The Mystery of the Valkyrie is returning to QPAC’s Playhouse from November 14-29, 2026.

The play, written and directed by Brisbane playwright and director Michael Futcher, had its world premiere at QPAC in 2023.

The production “puts a fresh spin on the world’s most famous detective, through an original mystery, fast-paced action and cinematic visual design by award-winning video designer Craig Wilkinson”.

Eugene Gilfedder returns as Sherlock Holmes, alongside Ian Stenlake (best known for roles in Australian television series Sea Patrol and Stingers) as Dr Watson.

The plot revolves around a gruesome murder investigation at London’s Birlstone Manor. It includes a reckoning with Holmes’ famous enemy, Professor Moriarty.

The show is presented by QPAC in association with Woodward Productions and Neil Gooding Productions.

Tickets are on sale from August 26, 2026 via QPAC.
