A more expansive Banksy exhibition will make its appearance in Brisbane in November.
Managing Director of Muse Entertainment Kemal Gurkaynak said The Art of Banksy: Chapter 2 reimagined the iconic exhibition with over 300 artworks, three times the number of previous editions.
“With Chapter 2, we are elevating the Banksy experience to new heights,” Mr Gurkaynak said.
“This is not just about art, it’s about stepping inside Banksy’s world and experiencing the message, the humour, and the urgency of his work in a way that has never been done before.”
He said the exhibition, which opens at Uptown in the Queen Street Mall from November 5, would feature more than 100 original pieces, alongside immersive installations, digital mapping shows, holograms, sculptures, and never-before-seen works.
“Visitors can expect a radically expanded exhibition, spanning 1550 square metres – twice as large as the 2023 Brisbane edition – delivering an authentic, thought-provoking journey into the elusive artist’s world.”
Mr Gurkaynak said Banksy was regarded as one of the most influential artists of our time, with his creations capturing imaginations and igniting global conversations.
He said Chapter 2 presented an elevated narrative, celebrating Banksy as a “living legend” while unveiling new stories behind some of his most iconic works, including Cinderella at Dismaland, London Zoo, and the Ice Cream Van.
“Additionally, a dazzling new hologram display will add a futuristic dimension to Banksy’s satirical vision.”
