There are only a few weeks left to catch the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art at QAGOMA in Brisbane, which features 70 artists, collectives and projects from more than 30 countries.

For the first time, this Triennial includes creators from Saudi Arabia, Timor-Leste and Uzbekistan. There are also new co-curated projects investigating artforms and cultural contexts rarely encountered outside their home locations.

The display is a gateway to the rapidly evolving artistic expression of Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

The exhibition explores themes that resonate across cultures, such as how we care for natural and urban environments and protect and revive cultural heritage, and how migration and labour has shaped our experiences.

The 11th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art is on at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art until May 5.
