Limited tickets are still available for Katie Perry’s The Lifetimes Tour at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre next week on June 17 and 18.
It’s Perry’s first tour in six years, following her sixth studio album 143, which according to The Daily Mail, has not been selling as well as expected.
The publication said she struggled to sell tickets for some of her US tour dates, with two Mexico shows cancelled after her Blue Origin space flight was criticised as being extravagant and overly theatrical.
However, Australia’s reception has been more favourable, with the star saying on Instagram that she added extra shows shows across the country; playing a total number of 15 gigs, up from the originally planned four concerts.
According to the tour promoter Teg Dainty, she is one of the best-selling music artists of all time with 115 billion streams and worldwide sales of more than 70 million adjusted albums and 143 million tracks.
She will also perform in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
