Jessica Mauboy, Yothu Yindi, and Troy Cassar-Daley are just some of the acts to star in QPAC’s Clancestry festival of First Nations artists from July 30 – August 8, 2026.

The celebration of First Nations arts and culture includes a program of concerts, workshops, theatre and children’s events.

One of Australia’s most celebrated performers, Jessica Mauboy brings her cabaret show The Story of Me: A Musical Journey Through My Career to the Concert Hall on Saturday, August 1. Jessica reflects on the defining moments of her life and career, in this intimate evening of music and storytelling.

ARIA and NIMA-award winning band Yothu Yindi will commemorate 40 years in a special QPAC concert on Saturday, August 8. The band lineup includes original members alongside new talent with a revamped “supergroup of blackfellas and whitefellas” from far North-East Arnhem Land.

Troy Cassar-Daley merges his deeply personal stories and songs with a string quartet at QPAC on Thursday, August 6. His powerful songwriting and soulful voice have earned him multiple awards including 45 Golden Guitars, six ARIA Awards, and four CMAA Entertainer of the Year titles.

Other performers include Dale Woodbridge-Brown with a unique circus show, Andrea James, ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, The First Creatives, Cheryl Overton, Djinama Yilaga and more.

QPAC Chief Executive Rachel Healey said the return of Clancestry in 2026 reflected the strength, diversity, and contemporary energy of First Nations creativity.

“Each year the festival, which has been operating since 2013, creates space for First Nations artists to lead the conversation, share new work and bring audiences together through music, theatre, movement and storytelling – its impact is consistently powerful and joyful,” Ms Healey said in a statement.
