Lauryn Hill’s one and only solo album has pipped Michael Jackson’s Thriller as Apple Music’s best album of all time.
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill topped the list of the “greatest records ever made” created by Apple Music’s team of experts alongside a select group of artists, songwriters, producers, and industry professionals.
The Beatles’ Abbey Road came it at number 3, edging out Prince and the Revolution’s Purple Rain, which was ranked fourth.
The most recent releases to feature in the top 10 were Frank Ocean’s Blonde (5) and Beyonce’s Lemonade, both released in 2016.
Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours just missed the top 10, coming in at 11.
The only Australian band to feature was AC/DC who’s Back in Black album was ranked at 90th, with Kiwi Lorde’s Pure Heroine 96th.
