The Foo Fighters live to fight another day with the announcement of their 2026 Australian stadium tour that includes the regional cities of Townsville and Newcastle, as well as the usual big cities.
Their Take Cover tour runs from November 5, 2026 until January 25, 2027 and will no doubt feature some new material from their upcoming studio album, their 12th to date.
The Foos are keen on supporting local acts, with 12 different bands taking turns across the nation.
Former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl formed the Foos in Seattle in 1994. The current lineup consists of Grohl (vocals and guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), Pat Smear (guitar), Rami Jaffee (keyboards), Chris Shiflett (guitar), and Ilan Rubin (drums).
This is the first time the band has toured Australia since 2023 – not counting their historic one-off concert in Launceston in January 2026 which was one of the largest in Tasmanian history attracting more than 26,000 fans.
Their top-charting Billboard songs include Best of You, Learn to Fly, The Pretender, All My Life, and Times Like These.
Their streams have surpassed 15.7 billion across all platforms up until February 2026. On Spotify, their top three streamed sons are Everlong (1.63 billion), The Pretender (988 million), and Best of You (773 million).
Presale opens on Monday, February 23 at noon across most of the country, and 11am in Melbourne. General sale is on Wednesday, February 25 at noon.
