Cult comedy musical Little Shop of Horrors is returning to Brisbane bigger, bolder, and hungrier than ever.

Since its premier in 1982, the kitschy and camp production gained millions of fans worldwide and was adapted into a 1986 film starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Grene, and Steve Martin.

Florist Seymour Krelborn stumbles on a new breed of plant at Mushnik’s failing flower shop and soon discovers the foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore plant has sinister intentions.

A six-piece band will perform the soundtrack of 1960s pop, with doo-wop, and R&B, with hits featuring hits like Suddenly Seymour, Feed Me (Git it), and Dentist!

Producer Alex Woodward said he was exited to bring a new version of Little Shop of Horrors back to QPAC after 10 years.

“When I saw Little Shop of Horrors at QPAC, it was one of the first shows I’d seen that had me completely rapt, so expect to see everything audiences have known and loved about this show for more than 40 years – think elaborate plant puppetry and a deranged dentist,” Mr Woodward said.

The most ravenous fans can plant themselves on the waitlist here to sink their teeth into pre-sale tickets from 9am Wednesday 24 September.

Tickets for Little Shop of Horrors are on sale to the public from Friday, September 26, via qpac.com.au.
