Ella Langley’s Choosin’ Texas has gone back to the top of the ARIA singles chart for the 11th non-consecutive week.
The song was released in 2025 as the lead single from Langley’s second album Dandelion.
Langley, 27, is an American country music singer-songwriter from Alabama.
Her debut album Hungover (2024) produced her breakthrough hits You Look Like You Love Me (with Riley Green) and Weren’t for the Wind.
Female artists or groups have now been at number one on the ARIA single chart for every week since early August last year (including Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s collaboration Rein Me In).
Australian trio DMA this week scored their first number one on the ARIA Albums Chart with their self-titled album.
This followed Hills End, which was number eight in 2016, For Now (number seven in 2018), The Glow (number two in 2020) and How Many Dreams? (number two in 2023).
Tasmania’s Miss Kaninna is at number eight on the albums chart and number four on the Vinyl chart with Blackprint.
Australian singer-songwriter Vera Blue enters the albums chart at number 12 with Modern Rituals.
Brisbane rapper, producer and singer Nerve debuts at number 14 with his fifth album, Growing Pains.
