Record-breaker Ed Sheeran will be back to try his luck at breaking more records next year with a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Last time he was down under, Sheeran broke the record for the most number of tickets sold for an Australian and New Zealand tour, beating Taylor Swift and previous record holders Dire Straits in 1997.
His new Loop tour will focus on his loop pedal which allows him to record backing vocals and musical instruments that can be played in a continuous loop.
The tour will promote the release of his new Play album which will be out on September 12.
Sheeran is a 12-time member of Spotify’s Billions Club for songs that have achieved more than one billion streams on the streaming service; plus his 2017 hit Shape of You is Apple’s most-streamed song over the past decade,.
The Telstra ticket pre-sale is on Friday, July 25 at 1pm, with the Frontier Members Presale on July 28 at 2pm, and the General Public Sale on July 29 at 3pm.
The Australian leg starts in Perth on January 31, followed by Sydney on Februrary 13 and 14, Brisbane on February 20 and 21, Melbourne February 26 and 27, and finishing in Adelaide on March 5.
