Dolly Parton’s iconic 1980 hit 9 To 5 has hit number one on the Australian “on-replay” singles charts after her death last month.
During its first release the single peaked at number nine.
Parton also has the second and third spots on the on-replay charts with Jolene (first released in 1973) and Islands In The Stream (with Kenny Rogers).
The Best Of Dolly Parton is at number three on the on-replay Albums Chart behind Michael Jackson’s Thriller at number one.
Australian entertainer Paul Kelly has also had a big week on the charts with the new deluxe edition of his Seventy album at number two on the main Albums Chart and number one on the Australian Albums Chart.
The Paul Kelly & The Coloured Girls’ 1986 album Gossip also returned at number 30 after originally peaking at number 15 in October 1986.
Alex Warren is at number one on the main ARIA Albums Chart with Wildchild. Wildchild is also number one on the Vinyl Chart.
It is Warren’s second album. The first, You’ll Be Alright, Kid peaked at number two last year and has risen from number 11 to number five this week.
Victorian metalcore band Ocean Sleeper debuted at number seven on the Albums Chart with Peace When I’m Dead.
On the Singles Chart, Ella Langley scored her 12th non-consecutive week at number one with Choosin’ Texas.
It is the second song this year to top the chart for more than 10 weeks.
Olivia Dean’s Man I Need was number one for 18 weeks (and the final six weeks of 2025).
Choosin’ Texas has been number one on the Billboard 100 in the US for 20 weeks, a record for a non-Christmas song.
