NRL expands Las Vegas showcase in 2025

The NRL has released details of its Las Vegas rugby league showcase in 2025, with four games scheduled in an expanded program.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said next year’s event would feature more teams and more nations, with players from the United Kingdom featured alongside Australian stars.

He said in a world-first the NRL, Super League and a women’s international game would share the spotlight.

“The historic four-game schedule will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 1 (local time) and will be broadcast live to a massive global audience across multiple markets and time zones,” he said.

Mr Abdo said bringing together eight teams from the Super League and the NRL, as well as the international women’s Test match, would showcase rugby league’s global appeal and create a unique spectacle for American sports fans.

“Las Vegas 2025 will be a bigger, bolder and better festival of rugby league.”

He said event would feature NRL Premiership matches between the Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors and the Penrith Panthers and the Cronulla Sharks, the 2024 UK Challenge Cup finalists, Wigan and Warrington, and a Test match featuring the Australian Jillaroos and England’s Women’s side.

“We’ve given fans the opportunity to plan early and take advantage of the Las Vegas festival experience – a true bucket list item for all rugby league and sports fans,” Mr Abdo said.
