A five-tower complex in Teneriffe, featuring a hotel and more than 200 residential units, has been approved by Brisbane City Council.
The Kokoda development at 17-27 Skyring Terrace, in the inner-city riverside suburb, will be built on the Riverside Industrial Sands site.
Council approved revised plans last week, resulting in a lower maximum tower height of 19 storeys and an additional two towers.
The complex features a 163-room hotel in one of the towers and 213 units spread across the other four towers.
The project will offer eight three-bedroom penthouses across three of the towers, with two towers accommodating 32 three-bedroom sub-penthouses.
A further 12 loft-style apartments of two or three bedrooms will be built with 51 standard three-bedroom, 84 two-bedroom and 26 one-bedroom apartments rounding out the residential offering.
There will be 520 car parking spaces created with 433 allocated to residents and their visitors, 38 assigned to the hotel and 49 for commercial tenants.
The Council approval letter stated the complex could feature an educational establishment, food and drink outlet, function rooms, health care service and indoor sport and recreation facilities.
The project plans also feature a 200m extension of the suburb’s Riverwalk along the site’s river frontage.
