The Pasifika Vibes Festival, which celebrates the cultures of the Pacific, will be held at Pine Rivers Showgrounds at Lawnton on October 4 and 5, 2026.
The festival, which is expected to attract about 20,000 people, features traditional performances, food, workshops, artisan crafts and storytelling.
It is one of Australia’s largest festivals of its type.
Pasifika Vibes started as a local community gathering in 2011 and has progressively grown into one of the region’s premier events.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said the festival was an important celebration of the cultures, traditions and stories that contributed to Moreton Bay’s diverse community.
“As the festival continues to grow, so too does its impact, bringing more than 20,000 people together each year to celebrate culture, build connections and foster a stronger sense of belonging across our community.” he said.
“City of Moreton Bay is proud to have supported the Pasifika Vibes Festival since its inception and this year is contributing $17,300 to help ensure the event continues to grow and provide an important community connection into the future.”
Pasifika Families Inc Executive Filiga Cross said everyone was welcome to join in the celebrations.
“The 2026 Pasifika Vibes Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! The event will be a vibrant and immersive celebration of Pacific cultures through performance, food, crafts and storytelling,” Ms Cross said.
“We want to create a safe, fun and welcoming environment where Pasifika families can come together to share their stories, traditions and creativity, while inviting the wider community to experience and learn about our cultures.”
