Brisbane investors, business owners, CEOs, advisors and industry leaders will join global investors and decision makers to discuss the local and international investment agenda at #CapTech2026 on September 28, 2026.
The key theme is Where Business Meets Capital and Growth. And this year’s Brisbane program will bring together government representatives, investors, institutional leaders, business executives and international delegates with a strong focus on capital, infrastructure, economic growth and global investment opportunities.
There will be a special discussion on ASEAN investment opportunities, a panel on the India-Queensland investment corridor, and an opportunity for local businesses and investors to build direct relationships with interstate and international delegates.
A significant focus of the program is two major panels led by female leaders.
Special ASEAN panel
An ASEAN panel featuring overseas investors will give Australian businesses and institutional attendees direct insight into capital flows, investment appetite and opportunities across Southeast Asia.
There will also be a dedicated India-focused investment panel for institutional attendees, examining cross-border capital, institutional investment and the growing relationship between India and Queensland.
This will be complemented by a keynote from The Hon Suresh Prabhu, former Union Cabinet Minister, Government of India and Global Policy Strategist, on India–Queensland: Building a New Investment Corridor.
Queensland’s own investment opportunity will also feature prominently, with Assistant Minister Hermann Vorster MP speaking on Queensland’s growth, capital and investment ambitions.
Together, the program is shaping up as a strong conversation around who is influencing capital, where investment is moving, how infrastructure will support future growth, and how Queensland can strengthen its position with investors across Australia, India and ASEAN countries.

Female leaders headline investment and economy discussion
Building Tomorrow: Investment into Infrastructure, will be an all-female infrastructure panel moderated by Jen Williams, CEO of Committee for Brisbane.
She will be joined by Ana-Marija Jurisic from Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility; Tracey Mackey, CEO of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland; Nicole Duguid, CEO of Regional Development Australia Brisbane; and Kirsten Whitehead, Partner – Portfolio Management, Global Infrastructure at QIC.
The panel will explore the investment required to support Queensland’s future growth and the role of infrastructure, institutional capital, regional development and long-term economic planning.
Women in the modern economy
A second all-female panel, Women, The Modern Economy, will bring together women from investment, business, media, sustainable and entrepreneurial industries.
Tracey Warren, CEO & Founding Partner of F5 Collective, will moderate the discussion.
She will be joined by Seri Benkin OAM, Co-Founder & Executive Director of The Dea Network; Lauren Meisner, Founder & Director of Centennial World Media; Sally Obermeder, CEO and Founder of ZIISH; and Athena Savvas, Sustainability & Impact Manager at DISSH.
This conversation follows on from #CapTech’s recent Sydney investor roundtable, Women: Future of Capital, where female investors and business leaders came together to discuss the changing role of women in investment, entrepreneurship, capital allocation and the future economy.
Extending into Brisbane
Brisbane extends that conversation further, not only through the Women, The Modern Economy panel, but through the visibility of senior women leading discussions around infrastructure, investment and economic development.

Speaker bios
Jen Williams: CEO of Committee for Brisbane since June 2024, leading its advocacy, thought leadership and commercial operations. She previously led the Queensland Division of the Property Council of Australia after progressing through senior policy and executive roles over 12 years.
Ana-Marija Jurisic: Investment Director at the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF). She plays a key role in driving financing and development initiatives for critical infrastructure, energy, and decarbonisation projects across northern Queensland and the wider region.
Tracey Mackey: CEO of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland. Tracey brings extensive executive leadership experience across government, private, and non-profit sectors, including former roles as CEO of the NSW Environment Protection Authority and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commissioner.
Nicole Duguid: CEO of Regional Development Australia Brisbane, with experience in regional economic development, infrastructure prioritisation and strategic planning. Her previous roles include Policy Director at the Queensland Resources Council and Director of Infrastructure Policy for the Queensland Government.
Kirsten Whitehead: Partner – Portfolio Management, Global Infrastructure at QIC. She has been with QIC since 2010 and has worked across infrastructure investment, asset management, governance and portfolio construction, including major investments such as Port of Melbourne, Tilt Renewables and Brisbane Airport.
Seri Renkin OAM: Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Dea Group. Seri is a seasoned Australian executive, non-executive director, and changemaker with over 20 years of experience across social finance, venture philanthropy, and impact investing.
Tracey Warren: CEO and Founding Partner of F5 Collective, working across capital innovation, policy reform and systems change. Her work focuses on emerging financial opportunities including business succession, creator-led enterprises and the transfer of wealth to women and the next generation.
Lauren Meisner: Founder and Director of Centennial World, an award-winning Gen Z media network with a reported monthly reach of 20 million. She is also founder of SponStudio and advises brands and marketers on Gen Z consumer culture, audience behaviour and the attention economy.
Sally Obermeder: Entrepreneur, Founder and CEO of consumer wellness company ZIISH, which has expanded across direct-to-consumer, retail and international markets. She previously spent more than two decades in television, including as founding host of Channel 7’s The Daily Edition.
Athena Savvas: Sustainability and Impact Manager at DISSH, where she works on sustainability and social impact for the Australian fashion brand. She previously led sustainability strategy and B Corp certification at M.J. Bale and has also worked in humanitarian aid and grassroots programs in Cambodia.
