The cinematic work of The Jim Henson Company will be shown for free with 90 movies at GOMA from September 12.
Watch classics such as Where the Wild Things Are, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Labyrinth, Little Shop of Horrors, and Jurrassic Park.
Make, Believe, Magic: The Worlds of The Jim Henson Company will be shown as part of three curated programs at the Gallery’s Cinémathèque.
QAGOMA Assistant Curator Victoria Wareham said the cinema programs revealed the influence of The Jim Henson Company on the broad genre of on-screen puppetry.
“These films celebrate the Company’s ability to create immersive worlds, unforgettable stories, and deeply expressive characters that have made for some of the most memorable moments in cinema history,” Ms Wareham said.
