Craig McCabe is the new Chief Executive Officer of Energy Queensland, commencing July 13, 2026.
Mr McCabe has 30 years of leadership experience across mining, industrial services, contracting and large-scale operational businesses.
Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Jellinbah Group and has previously held senior executive roles with Stanmore Coal and Wesfarmers Resources.
“His appointment comes at an important time for the organisation as we continue to support the Queensland Energy Roadmap and progress the transformation already underway across the organisation,” Energy Queensland said in a statement.
“We also acknowledge the significant contribution of outgoing CEO Peter Scott, whose leadership has guided the organisation through a period of significant change in the energy sector, and major operational challenges.”
