The Night Feast festival of food, art and culture has expanded its 2026 program with exclusive dishes from new restaurant participants Blackbird, Ruby, My Dear and Norté.
This year Night Feast moves from its previous Spring slot to the cooler weather of July 29 to August 23 at the Brisbane Powerhouse.
There will be more than 20 of Brisbane’s best restaurants serving up dishes created especially for the night, with returning favourites Donna Chang, Burn City Smokers, Gelato Messina and Hoy Pinoy.
Guests can wander between large-scale installations and live DJ sets from the La Scala Listening Lounge, while enjoying boundary-pushing food and cosy open-air dining experiences.
Brisbane Powerhouse CEO and Artistic Director Louise Bezzina said Night Feast was about creating a “living, breathing world where food, art and music collide in unexpected ways.”
A new one-day-only immersive long lunch called Better Off Red will combine bold food from Bosco and Blackbird, live performances, and sensory storytelling on Sunday, August 16.
The expanded arts and music program includes Ignite – a towering seesaw installation inspired by the communal bonfire by Sydney studio Amigo & Amigo. It will be joined by Joy Generator – a radiant, sculptural installation exploring joy as a connective force by Nixi Killick.
The Stores Studio will form the backdrop for Jonny Niesche’s Total Vibrations – massive flexible mirrors which shimmer and ripple in response to an atmospheric soundtrack by Mark Pritchard.
In addition, the Stephanie Lake Company will present VISTA, a new dance work that examines perception, rhythm and perspective through a dynamic choreographic experience that shifts how audiences move through and interpret space.
Chef Savva Savas will host a live podcast of Three Food Memories which will involve soon-to-be-announced special guests to unpack their memories and cultures shaped by food. Audiences will be able to sample food inspired by the conversations on stage in the Powerhouse Theatre.
Entry is free to Night Feast, with bookings required for Better Off Red, VISTA, and Three Food Memories. For more information and tickets, click here.
