Paul McCartney back in the Australian top 10

Prolific former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney’s The Boys of Dungeon Lane has debuted on the Australian ARIA charts at number 5.

This marks 83-year-old Sir Paul’s 18th top 10 album as a soloist and as part of The Beatles and Wings.

The Boys of Dungeon Lane is also at number three on the Vinyl Chart.

The album, Sir Paul’s 27th studio album, was inspired by his childhood memories growing up in Liverpool.

Two of his 27 albums reached number one – Red Rose Speedway and Band On The Run, both in 1973.

Another “golden oldie” – Michael Jackson – retains the top two spots on the ARIA On Replay Albums Chart with Thriller at number one and Bad at number two.

He also has the top three on the replay singles chart – Billie Jean (1), Beat It (2) and Human Nature (3). He is also at number five with Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough.

Drake’s ICEMAN album has returned to number one for a second non-consecutive week on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Australian Amber Lawrence has debuted in at number 18 with Suburban Cowgirl.

Another Aussie, Chloe Parche is also new at number 34 on the Albums Chart.

Ariana Grande had debuted at number two on the singles chart with Hate That I Made You Love Me, the first track from her upcoming eighth studio album Petal.

She has now racked up 31 top 20 singles.
