Graeme Johnson has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of HopgoodGanim Lawyers, based in Brisbane.

Mr Johnson previously worked for more than 13 years at law firm Clayton Utz.

He has also been Chief Financial Officer at Oaks Hotels and Resorts, Macquarie Airports and across several divisions of Westpac.

HopgoodGanim Managing Partner Luke Mountford said the appointment marked a significant evolution in the firm’s leadership structure.

“As the firm continues to grow and evolve, it was critical for us to strengthen our executive leadership with someone who brings both deep legal sector experience and sophisticated commercial capability,” he said.

“Graeme’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a leadership team that can support the firm at the highest level.”

Mr Mountford also announced that Special Counsel Lea Fua had returned to the firm.

Mr Fua previously worked at HopgoodGanim for 10 years. He re-joins after eight years working with a global law firm and in an in‑house legal role.
