Leading independent law firm McCullough Robertson Lawyers (McR) has bolstered its expertise in the Construction and Infrastructure field with Scott Higgins joining as a partner in the Sydney office.

McR Joint Managing Partner Damien Clarke said Mr Higgins, who joins from Mills Oakley where he spent nine years as a partner, had expertise in strategic claims management and dispute resolution.

“Scott is highly experienced in managing complex issues arising in major commercial, large-scale residential and infrastructure projects,” Mr Clarke said.

He said Mr Higgins was sought after for his deep knowledge of regulatory dynamics and his ability to develop solutions in high-stakes disputes, with his client base including some of Australia’s most significant players across development, construction, and industry.

“Scott’s appointment is extremely exciting for our construction clients. Known for his strategic leadership in client management and service delivery, Scott anticipates client needs, and aligns legal strategies with commercial outcomes and I know our clients will benefit from his approach.”

He said the appointment also marked an important milestone for McR’s Sydney office, which was now home to 30 percent of the firm’s partners.

McR Chair of Partners Kristan Conlon said the move continued the expansion of the Sydney offering.

“Scott is a highly regarded leader within the construction and infrastructure space and known for his ability to build high performing teams and a culture of excellence,” Ms Conlon said.
