A trimmed down Brisbane 2032 Board won’t be lacking for expert advice, with the members of four new advisory groups now known.
Less than three months after the original Board was trimmed from 24 to 15, almost 30 experts were named today (October 3) as advisors in the groups which were flagged back in July.
Brisbane 2032 President Andrew Liveris said he would chair a new Commercial advisory group, with Patrick Johnson leading a Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Group, fellow Olympian Susie O’Neill heading a Athlete and Sport group, and Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner guiding a Host Mayors group.
Mr Liveris said the groups included leaders from business, academia, sporting greats and mayors from across Queensland.
“The advisory groups have an incredible depth of expertise across their membership and will play a pivotal role in complementing Brisbane 2032’s success overall,” he said.
“There is an incredible amount of knowledge, goodwill and desire to accelerate progress and deliver lasting legacies across the initial four advisory groups and I look forward to working closely with members in the years ahead.”
