Businesses looking to secure contracts to deliver projects and services for the Brisbane 2032 Games can now purchase $250-per-head tickets to a procurement launch event next month.
The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee announced today (September 12) the launch of its procurement program, at the October 8 event, would also include the details of more than 50 expressions of interest (EOI) packages.
Brisbane 2032 President Andrew Liveris said he would be joined by Brisbane 2032 CEO Cindy Hook, Paris 2024 Organising Committee Chief Finance and Human Resources Officer Fabrice Lacroix and Queensland Olympic and Paralympic Games Minister Tim Mander at The Star, Queen’s Wharf, to reveal the first tranche of procurement opportunities.
Mr Liveris said the event would also provide summaries of procurement timelines and how businesses could prepare for their opportunity to pitch for packages of work.
“The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will focus the eyes of the world on our region and generate billions of dollars in just under seven years’ time,” he said.
“We want as many local businesses as possible to be part of delivering our home Games.”
Mr Liveris said the Games would be a once in a lifetime event and opportunity for many businesses to be involved.
“We’re deliberately launching our procurement process early. We want to give as many businesses as much time to plan, prepare and pitch for work.
“From sports equipment to temporary infrastructure; hospitality services to food and beverages, we will have thousands of procurement opportunities on offer in the lead up to the Games in 2032.”
