Saddle up for Australia’s most famous rodeo and campdraft in Warwick when the nation’s toughest horse and bull riders will send the dust flying in a battle of champions.
Watch the skilled riders as bulls and horses fly out the gate in an historic week-long event full of family fun and community spirit from October 20-26, 2025.
The action closes with the Palmerin Street parade full of vibrant floats, creative costumes and the energy of 30,000 spectators on October 26 at 9.30am. This year’s theme celebrates Boots and Blooms, in a nod to the city’s rodeo heritage and famous rose gardens.
Warick has been home of the Australian championships since 1928.
Warwick Show and Rodeo Society president Gerard Oleary said Warwick was recognised internationally as Australia’s most famous rodeo and campdraft because the champions returned each year to defend their titles.
“This year will be even bigger than ever, with our 2024 champions back and facing a rising tide of challengers,” Mr Oleary said.
“From the championship campdraft to the bulls, broncs, and barrel races, it promises a true spectacle.”
Toby Collins from Maldon in Victoria will return this year to defend his wins in 2024 – the Bull Ride buckle, and sharing equal first place in the Saddle Bronc.
The 2024 Bareback Bronc buckle winner Jarrod McKane of Wodonga, Victoria; and four-time APRA All-Round Champion Cowboy Campbell Hodson from Charters Towers who took out the Rope and Tie buckle will also be back. Emerald local Leanne Caban will defend her Barrel Racing crown with lightning-fast Akka Dakka.
The Warwick Gold Cup, also known as the Melbourne Cup of campdrafting attracts the largest prize pool for an event of its kind in Australia. This year it sits at $370,000, with bespoke saddles, gleaming trophies, and an array of awards.
