Australian ACDC fans are preparing to be thunderstruck when the band returns to their homeland for just five shows in November and December.

The 2025 Power Up Tour will play the Melbourne MCG on November 12; Sydney Accor Stadium on November 21; Adelaide bp Grand Final on November 30; Perth Optus Stadium on December 4; and Brisbane Suncorp Stadium on December 14.

Tickets go on sale at staggered times on Thursday between 9am and 1pm; with Brisbane tickets on sale at 11am. There will be no pre-sales.

The shows are expected to sell out within seconds, but given the fact that they are spaced over a month, there are hopes that more shows might be added to the lineup.

The tour shares its name with ACDC’s 2020 album Power Up, which debuted at number one on the ARIA chart in Australia, and 20 other countries worldwide. The album was also nominated for three Grammy Awards.

The Power Up Tour has been playing in Europe, with more than two million tickets sold across 24 shows.

The band just concluded 10 sold-out shows in North America, and has 15 additional shows scheduled across Europe before returning to home soil.

ACDC played their very first show in 1973 at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney.

They are regarded as one of the most influential rock bands in history, with more than 200 million albums sold globally.

The tour includes Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney.

They will be joined by warm-up act Australian rock band Amyl and The Sniffers.
