After attracting more than 200,000 visitors in less than six months, Brisbane attraction Bluey’s World will extend its season.
Queensland Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said Bluey’s World, which was recently recognised by TIME Magazine on its World’s Greatest Places to Visit list for 2025, had cemented its status as a world-class attraction.
Minister Powell said many international travellers were choosing to visit Brisbane because of the attraction, prompting operators to keep the doors open until at least 2026.
He said the immersive experience, inspired by the hit TV show Bluey, had attracted 200,000 visitors since opening in November last year.
“The Heeler Family is one of Brisbane’s greatest exports, and it’s no wonder people are flying in from around the world to enjoy Bluey’s World
“It has become one of the city’s greatest family attractions and is generating significant economic benefits to the region.”
Minister Powell said people had visited the attraction, housed in the inner-city suburb of Hamilton, from across Australia, as well as New Zealand, North America, the United Kingdom, Canada and Singapore.
“We anticipate the exhibit will help to generate up to $18 million for our state economy, as visitors make the most of our hotels, restaurants and other hospitality in their time here.”
